What is Botox?

Botox is an injectable prescription medication developed from a purified neurotoxin called botulinum toxin. When injected into areas with dynamic wrinkles – those caused by face expressions – Botox decreases muscle activity to give you a smoother, younger look. 

Where is Botox effective?

Botox treats moderate to severe frown lines between your brows, horizontal forehead lines, and crow’s feet around your eyes.

If you’re also having dermal filler injections, the doctor places these strategically in your target areas. Treatment takes just a few minutes, and most people tolerate the injections well. The doctor can apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to make treatments more comfortable.

You’ll notice changes in your appearance in 24-48 hours. Full results are most noticeable after about two weeks.
